Let me say, we LOVE Dr. Elise Scallan. She is Emerson's ENT and is great. Emerson had her surgery this morning. It went well and they did end up taking her adenoids as well as giving her tubes. The surgery went well. Recovery, well that is another story. Thank goodness everyone told me what to expect of Emerson coming out of the anesthesia, but it does not make it any easier. She was hysterical, out of sorts, gagging up blood and just plain mad. All of this made me very uneasy as I did not know how to help her. She cried the entire way home and is now sleeping in her bed. Hopefully, she will wake up fine and very hungry.
