Miss Heather's Pumpkin Patch

Birthday parties keep us more than busy these days, but we were thrilled to have been invited to Daniel's 5th birthday held in Hammond at Miss Heather's Pumpkin Patch. Daniel is one of Emerson's Jefferson Baptist buddies. She has been missing them alot and has been asking me to get her JB friends together for a play date, but there has been no free time. She got to see most of her friends and have a fun time too. The Pumpkin Patch is such a cute place. Lots of fun things for the kids to do and made a very cute party.

Miss Spider's Tea Party

Emerson and I had our first Dunham class event Friday and I am glad to have gotten one under my belt as the room mother. Due to the multi-denominational mix of the school, they do not celebrate Halloween. Each grade level does something different and PreK has a party based on their unit of study. They have been studying spiders, so we finished the unit with Miss Spider's Tea Party. They read the book, had a tea party, made edible spiders out of huge marshmallows, pretzel sticks and chocolate chips, made spiders with pipe cleaners, google eyes and Styrofoam balls and last but not least played pin the spider on the web.
They had loads of fun and are all looking forward to the much anticipated Dunham Carnival this Saturday.

2 extra kids

Denny and I had 2 extra kids this weekend and WOW are we tired! Isabella and Avery spent Friday-Sunday afternoon with us and Emerson could not have been more excited to have her 2 "sisters" here. It was good practice for me to see how the dynamics will be when Emerson is 6 (Avery) and 9 (Bella) years old. Are we ready...we will see. 4 is challenge enough.
Everyone had a great time, we love hanging out with the girls. We drug them everywhere we had to go and they made a few new friends in LA.

Emerson's obsession

I have mentioned her obsession with Mike. We were in the area after a b-day party yesterday evening, so we took her about 5:30pm. This was such a great time and Mike was up, playing in the water and running all over. We spent awhile just watching him. He gave everyone great photo opportunities for sure.

Red Bluff Farm in Folsom

Saturday was the Pumpkin Festival in Folsom at Red Bluff that goes on every Saturday in October. We got to see farm animals, pumpkins, go on a hayride and lots of fun stuff. We took Emerson to this event when she was one and have not been back since. She really enjoyed it.
