iPad picture fun

Emerson loves to play with one of the photo features that comes with the iPad. She takes all kind of crazy pictures!

Sock monster

This is what happens when you don't watch Duncan's every move. He can open most of the drawers in our house and he prefers Denny's sock drawer.

I guess this is my fault, as I have been bragging all week about how good her was getting and how he is growing out of some of his puppy tendencies...  He can also get whatever he wants off of the bathroom counters.  He is already as tall as Baker was at 9 years old.

Finley Elizabeth Williams

I am so behind on posting this...

My niece Camille and her husband Michael, welcomed there baby daughter Finley on January 5, 2012.  Camille was determined not to have a C-section, so after 3 hours of labor, Finley was born.  They went home a few days after as usual.  The next few days were fine with lots sleeping and eating.  Camille was very swollen with fluid, but the doctor did not seem to be concerned telling her it was all normal after a very easy and normal pregnancy.  Well, Camille starting having seizures and ended up having Postpartum Preeclampsia.  Who knew there was such a thing!  So scary and serious.  Her blood pressure was so high it caused the seizures.  She had swelling on the brain caused by the seizures.  After days in the hospital and time in the ICU, they are home now and fine.  Michael and Camille are just trying to recover from such a scary event and adjust to the lost days with their newborn.  I had the privilege of spending 2 days with Finley while Camille was in the hospital.  She is so beautiful and such a good baby. Keep them in your prayers and let's hope Camille is over this very scary and life threatening condition.

Emerson and Rileigh anxiously awaiting Finley's birth.

New Years Eve in Houston

We spent New Years Eve and weekend in Houston with Rachel, Lee and Katherine.  The girls do not get to spend alot of time together, but when they do, they have a great time and play great together. We took them to the Houston Zoo Saturday morning.  What a nice Zoo.  It rivals Audubon and there are many aspects of the Houston Zoo that we preferred over Audubon.  We spent the most time hanging out watching these guys.  2 baby elephants...what beautiful creatures.

Christmas 2011

As in years past, it is our tradition to "Make Cakes for Jesus" on Christmas Eve.  Emerson and I stay in our PJ's all day and make cake, cookies or cupcakes in celebration of the Christ birth.  Denny is usually at work, so him being home this year threw us off a bit.  Emerson wanted to run errands with Denny AND decorate.  This is what we ended up with.
Christmas Tree Cakes for Jesus

I could not get Duncan's eyes to not glow, so he looks a little evil. The fact that he sat for the picture is a miracle.

She was pretty excited when she unwrapped that iPad.  We all three were pretty excited, as Santa left it for our family.

Lovin' that iPad
Duncan got a stocking full of toys, which lasted him about an hour.  He proceeded to tear up every toy he got.  At least he is one child that played with everything he got!
