Cats and Dogs

The Krewe of Mutts parade was today. It was not as big or half as exciting as last year and we were very disappointed. It seemed very unorganized and started what seemed like 1 hour late. We had a good time anyway, but it is just a little difficult to explain to a 2 year old why the "pawade" has not started yet, when it is going to start and why it is taking so long. "Daddy, I weady."
"I think I see something"

"When is it going to start?"
Finally! She really enjoyed the band.
Throw me somfin...
After the parade, we ate a very late lunch and took her to see Mike the Tiger. The last 2 times we have gone he has been asleep and hiding in the bushes, so she was shrieking with excitement when she saw him out and about. I have to admit, I was just as excited and could watch him all day. He is just awesome!
This one would have been great, but it is a little blurry.

Happy Valentimes

We had a great "Valentimes" Day and we hope you did too! This is my new favorite outfit!!!Emerson holding up the card Denny made for her.

Emerson and her pal Mickey

As soon as the rains stopped today we headed outside. Mickey was right there with us. She wanted to drive her Jeep and she wanted Mickey to ride with her. At least Mickey is having a good time. She likes the idea of the Jeep, but gets so frustrated when she can't steer it well. So, this is how she ends up.

On to the "Beep-Beep" car. Her and Mickey needed to go to the store and get some gas she said.

She did not stay in it long. Her legs are so long it is hard for her to push herself around. And it is swing time. She cracked herself up having Mickey in the swing with her.

"Is this fun Mickey?"
"Do you lub it?"
"I swing ebery day mickey. You could swing wit me if you want."

How cute is this...

HOW CUTE is this picture of Em and Mallory! I love it. We had a very busy weekend, but no pics to show for it. Oh well. I consider us both well. She is back to her old self and I really appreciate those days when she feels good after coming off of days when she is sick. She is so fun and energetic. Check out this get-up. Today after school and a nap the rain let up for a few minutes and she could go outside until dinner was ready. Smocked dress and red ladybug rain boots- good look for her I think.

Rag-a-muffin

We are feeling much better today. She has 24 hours of antibiotic in her system and she is moving around lots more. The new washing machine was delivered today, so we planned to stay in, rest and wash clothes. She is dressed only as you do when you aren't feeling so well and planning on seeing no one. Apparently Emerson has hit a growth spurt, because she just wore these pants last week and they were not an inch too short for her. SO she is wearing pants that are too short for her, orange Halloween sock, pink crocs, her very cold winter hat, a green, pink and cream jacket and what you can't see just pushes this ensemble way over the top- a red velour Christmas hoody. Soft, comfy AND stylish.
Back to school tomorrow as we head into a very busy weekend.

Sick and Tired

We are both sick and tired. Now that I have turned the corner and can hold my head up again Emerson is sick. Hers came on fast. It only took 3 days for her funk to turn into an infection, so we spent this morning in the doctors office with the rest of the kids in Baton Rouge. After that I had to drag her around to look at washers, as mine is broken and I will not spend $500 to fix the old one when I can buy a new one for less than that. So we did that after the doctor. I also took her to Chick-Fil-A for lunch to make her feel better and of course she had to play. I figure any Yuck she would catch from that play thing the antibiotic would take care of. SO, she ate and played with a girl that goes to Mother's Day out with her and they had fun.

These are some pics of her eating the cupcakes she made with Kaki Monday when I was sick in the bed.
