Part II- the decorating

The next day, because I could not handle, dough making, cutting, baking and decorating all in one day with a 3 year old, Emerson got to decorate her cookies. She told me what color icing she wanted and she picked out the sprinkles she wanted to use and I let her loose. She is heavy on the icing and on the eating of the sprinkles, but once you get past that she goes a good job and she is so happy and confident with what she has accomplished it is worth the mess. She got almost done and started to pucker out and said"Mom, this is hard work. I am tired of this. Can you help?"

Give her a couple more years and she will be a great assistant in the kitchen.
