Weekend fun

As always, I feel like I can playing catch-up...
Now that Hurricane Isaac has passed, we seem to be settling back into our school routines.  Our weekends are filled with Birthday parties and lots of new house stuff.  We have had our Back To School Night, so this First Grade Year is well underway.  VERY different of course, more homework and weekly tests, but Emerson seems to be handling it well.  She has made new friends, but still interacts with her "crew" on the playground and on the weekends.  Overall, I would say the school year is off to a good start.

We went to the Farmer's Market a few weekends ago.  If there is a Face Painting Booth anywhere around, she will find it! I think this one was called, Heart Princess.

Labor Day while I was at work, Denny took Em to a birthday party and then he had to go into the office for awhile.  She hung out at Ms. Jill's desk and had a snack and played some games on the iPad. There may have been a moment where nosey got lost and could not find her way back, but we aren't talking about that.  She is definitely our child...Nosey like Denny which compelled her to go walk around and check it all out.  And then like me, could not get herself back.

After we finished up at work, we went to some friends house to swim and BBQ.  Here are Hayes, Camille and Em enjoying their dessert.  Julian was around there somewhere but was not interested in being in the picture.

Here is another "City Park Big Tree" picture. I need to go back and put all the pictures together that we have taken of her on this tree over the years...
