We drove to Oxford, Maine to go to a pretty traditional County Fair. It was a cool, but sunny day and Emerson had fun riding rides and feeding the animals in the Pretty Farm. We had our first fOreo here. I had to try one and was not expecting to like it. OH MY it is heaven. In Maine, they have Fried Dough stations. Similar to a funnel cake, but in my opinion better. It is like the flaky dough of a biscuit, but thinner. You can top with a number of savory or sweet toppings. This dough is what the Oreo was fried in and the adults tasted them. SO SO YUM! Glad to say I have tasted one.

This fair had all the traditional animals we are used to, but the big surprise was the Alpaca. Emerson just wanted to say it was a Llama. They put the animal food in ice cream cones. How smart! Too bad people in Louisiana could not come up with that. This way there are no worries the animals are going to eat the paper cups and can eat the cones.
