Duncan often gets in the bed with Emerson at night. However, there is not enough room for both of them because Duncan stretches out and wants all of bed.

Emerson and Lila Grace
Emerson and Lila spent some time together this summer doing various things. Movie nights and a Science Camp just to name a few.
Summer fun with Mandi
Em and Mandi dressed up like cows for Chic-fil-a day.
One of the many camps Emerson did this summer was an Art Camp. Here is one of the pieces she did and a pic of her class.
Daddy/Daughter Saturday morning
Not that most weekends aren't daddy/daughter days in the summer while I am at work, but this one was extra special. Denny was on a waiting list, for over a month, to take Emerson horseback riding. Finally the day came and Emerson had a wonderful time. It was just Em, Denny and a few instructors. They got to ride for about an hour.
Emerson's horse was named Douglas. She thought that was pretty funny and not a typical horse name. It was a great dad/daughter Saturday morning. And I am pretty sure donuts were involved!

3rd Grade
Gotta love Back to School time. Who's class will she be in...will any of her buddies be in class with her... We are 3 days in and off to a good start. Emerson seems to really like her 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Mary Katherine Benton. Emerson says she is very pretty and has a soft voice (I'm sure that wont last long). Em is in class with a bestie or two and is in class with a few girls she has never had in her class before.
Emerson and Lila.

I am hoping to get all the summer posts caught up within the next week or so. That's the goal anyway...

Cody Simpson Superfans
Or Groupies... Depends on how you look at it. So concerts are back at Blue Bayou and WOW did they step it up. Courtney (Lila's Mom) and I took Em, Lila and Alyse to eat dinner at CPK before the much anticipated Cody Simpson Concert. Of course we kept it all under wraps until the day of. So dinner at CPK.
We get to the park and ride a few rides. The girls were anxious to get to their seats. They had no idea it was front row... After the pre-show was done, the girls were led backstage. They had NO idea what was happening.Until this happened...
Cody Simpson OMG! They girls held it together better than I expected but look at their faces!
True Story- "Um Mom, I am never washing my shoulder again"!
They danced and sang and danced and held hands and got t-shirts and danced and squealed and danced and said "BEST NIGHT EVER" and danced and did all those things 7 year old groupies do.
Thank you Aunt Liz! They are forever changed. LOL!
