Em and her Girls

Amanda and the girls came in town a few weekends ago.  Their first trip to the new house and our first house guests here.  Of course Em, Bella and Avery had the usual fun together.  They spent some time in the parks before they had to head back to Jackson.

"What, this is a dance floor...our chairs can't go here?"

A quick trip, but the girls had fun anyway and we knew we would be seeing them in a month at the beach.  At least Em had something to look forward to.

iPad fun

Happy Summer! Lots of Posts to catch up on, hoping to get back to that when I can...
Em was playing on the iPad a few weeks ago, which she does often, and most of it gets deleted.  How fun are these!  I really think you can see how much she looks like Mom in these.

Audubon Zoo

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.  I can't stand it. This was as far back as I could find with her and this statue at the Zoo.

2008- 2 years old

2013- 6 years old

We went this past Saturday and it was the perfect Zoo day.  Not too hot with a cool breeze. She was way to cool...shades, map, cross-body purse. Oh and she would stop to put on lipstick whenever she thought about it- which could be as often as every 30 minutes or so. Lord help us...

Here's the towel Mom

I seemed to have gotten a little wet.

Feels like summer

YUM!

Squeezing baby chicks

Emerson has been attending AgMagic since she was old enough to walk.  She loves it and insists on going every year.  Denny took her and Jackson last weekend and all they seemed interested in doing is holding baby chicks.  They made a stop at City Park on the way home and got a little wet.  It all seemed like a great idea until it was time to get in the car...

People pay good money for this

After we finished babysitting Finley, we headed outside to help Denny with his brick project.  Emerson and Jackson were already playing outside.  Amy and the boys came over and this is where the kids ended up.  Next door on the one "house hill" left and decided the hose would be a fun addition.  Wyatt stayed the cleanest (smart kid) and the one girl of the bunch was the dirtiest.  These kids had so much fun and finally at 4:30pm I made her come in.  We had several hose off stations to at least not track mud thru my house. It took me in the shower with her and one hour to finally get the mud off of her. She had mud in places I can't begin to mention, but I must say her hair and skin were very soft for 2 days after.
