Babysitter in training

Last Saturday, we kept Finley for a few hours.  She was so good and we had fun with her. She followed Emerson around everywhere she went.  I love the pic of Finn just looking at Emerson.  Emerson was real into watching and playing with her for about the first hour and then she was done.  She saw Jackson outside and my helper was gone.

 

Another one gone

Emerson lost another tooth last weekend.  She let it just hang for too long and she finally popped it right out. The Tooth Fairy visited leaving another $2 bill in the shape of a heart. So weird to see Em without 2 front teeth.

 

Projects

Denny has a brick project going on in the backyard right now.  Emerson decided to start her own project with the bricks.

 

And then when she got tired of hauling the bricks around she started a photography project.  This is what she has taken so far.  She says its called "New House Stuff".  Enjoy...

Easter Break

We kept busy over Easter Break and very much enjoyed not having to wake up at any certain time.  Emerson says these are the favorite things she did over her break. 

 

Emerson has been saving her money and recently donated stuffed animals and baby dolls to the needy.  She asked if she could go to Build-A-Bear and use her money.  This is Dotty, the animal Em picked out. 



 

Emerson took an Art Camp on one day of her break. These are the 2 pictures she painted.  SO CUTE!

Friday the girls spent the day together. I took them to the B.R. Zoo.  You know the girls are getting older because it used to only take about an hour to see all of our local Zoo because the kids would usually just run thru it all.  This visit was so different.  They stopped at each exhibit, read all the signs about the Habitats and took an interested in the animals.  We spent about 3 1/2 hours there.

After the Zoo, we made a stop at City Park and the girls played a little.

Emerson and ReRe at Fest for All this past weekend.  It was such a nice day to be out and about.

Easter 2013

We had a great day.  It started with lunch at Houmas House with Mom. We have not been there in awhile and it was all so nice, the flowers are so beautiful and all in bloom.  

 

We spent the rest of the day at Denny's parents house and I can't believe none of us took pictures of the kids together or with Denny's parents. We need to work on that...

Easter Bunny 2013

Let me start off by saying that the bunny ears were all Emerson's idea.  She has had them for years and has been photographed with them on many, many times. She fished them out of her dress up box the night before and insisted she wear them when she woke up Easter morning. 

 

The Bunny was even good to Duncan...  Emerson was very concerned that he had not gotten anything until she found this egg.

The Art of Eggs

Emerson is one serious chic when it comes to Easter eggs.  Saturday we died and decorated eggs.  I bought a Tye Dyed egg kit, but Denny and I honestly could not figure out how to get them Tye dyed, so we just did it the good old fashioned way. Her eggs were very well thought out and "designed".  She can't help it!  We used stickers, markers and some Easter Egg Bling we had left from previous Easter egg projects.
