Dare Devil

To say that I am surprised that this is the first time we are having anything on her body X-rayed is an understatement, but there had to be a first.  Last Sunday, Denny and Emerson took their bikes to a local park to ride the trails and then Em wanted to play on the structures after.  Instead of climbing down the rock wall, she jumped off the top.  Cut to the next day when we are in the doctors office because she can't walk on her foot.  Luckily, there was no break or fracture, just a bad sprain.  She is finally getting to where she can walk on that foot again.

Cold Hard Floor

Looks like our 4 legged child will be sleeping on the cold hard floor.  He found it necessary to tear up the inserts to his bed while I was washing the cover.  PUNK!

Fun while it lasted

The Congemi's (people we bought our house from) started building their new house next door.  The day the dirt was brought in, you would have thought they had dropped Disney in the lot.  Emerson and Jackson played on the "house hills" from 11am- 6pm that day.  They had a ball digging and hauling dirt all over.  Filthy is not even the word we could have used to describe the state Emerson was in when I made her come home.  I had to wash the bathtub twice to get all the sand and dirt out.  They had some good old fashioned fun and slept pretty darn good that night!

Being in Baton Rouge

To say the least, changed everything we do.  Being in town has opened up a whole new world of quick trips and errands.  Most importantly we have discovered Kids Nights.  And apparently there is one almost every night of the week somewhere in Baton Rouge. Will have to look into that for sure. The past Monday, after a very busy weekend, I did not cook anything for dinner.  We ran up the street for a quick bite at Izzo's.  Well, Monday night is Kids Night.  They have a Balloon person and a Face Painter and it was crazy crowded. She was beyond thrilled.  Too bad she had to wash that butterfly off 10 minutes after we got home...

100 Days Smarter

100th day celebration included a fashion show featuring the tshirts the kids made themselves.  The assignment was to make a shirt with 100 of anything.  Emerson chose Pom-Pom's.

NO MO...

Praying for their health and happiness in 2013!!!

When you have a dog...

and it rains for seven days straight, you start with this sadness starring out the window.  Wishing and wanting to go outside and has so much pent up energy he will eat the kids stuffed animals every chance he gets.

Forget the mud and funk, we can't take it anymore. We had to run him in the mud everyday to make us all happy.  He had a ball until it was time for the daily bath. There were times when it was so much worse than this, but I was not bringing my phone or camera anywhere near it.
