"Gickers"

Emerson loves to "play gickers". I let her take pages of stickers and stick them on colorbook pages. Hours, well maybe 30 minutes max, of entertainment. She was a little more quiet than usual this evening and SO proud of herself. Here are a few pictures from Saturday. We got this really cute and different LSU kids shirt last Saturday at the Arts Market downtown. Emerson loves the little tiger on her shirt.

"I 'hose' Momma. You take picture"

It is no secret that Denny and I are big fans of America's Next Top Model. Emerson is a fan now as well. If you did not see last night's episode, Tyra was helping each "gurl" find her signature pose. Or as Emerson started saying- "Hose". She turned to us and said "I hose momma. Take picture". This is Emerson hosing-

Em hosing with Baker. Baker not real thrilled about hosing with all the paparazzi around snapping pics. Or me telling him to be still and to look at the camera. Could go either way.

Feeling Yucky

Tuesday was a rough day for Emerson. Monday evening she started to feel bad and started running a high fever. Tuesday morning we went straight to the doctor and she ran 104 fever at the doctor's office. They were concerned about pneumonia and meningitis. Luckily, she just has a very bad sinus infection. After a few hours at the Dr's office, a prescription for an antibiotic and a rocephin shot we made it home. She ran fever the rest of the day and into the night. She woke up this morning doing much better. She is taking it easy at home today and wants to go to school. If the fever stays gone, then she should be good to go on Friday.

It is always smart to keep your vacuum cleaner close when you are not feeling well. I am either training her well or creating a mini-me. Too early to tell.

Saturday Downtown

Saturday was the Book fair downtown. We have been before, but it is much better now that Emerson is old enough to take part in all the children's activities. We met up with our friends form down the street The McDermott's. Their daughter Isabell is 2 weeks younger than Emerson and they play alot. They are also in the same class at school. They had a great time making crafts and walking around.

One day last week after school

When I pick Emerson up from school she is always very hungry for a snack. This day I asked her if she wanted a snack or a sucker. 10 minutes later...

Zoo day

A few weekends ago Mallory kept Emerson so we could go to the LSU/Miss. State game with friends. Mallory made a day out of it and took Em and Jacey to the zoo. Jacey is Mallory's boyfriends little girl. Em and Jacey had not met until this day and are instant friends. They could almost be sisters. Jacey is so cute!

She had a great day- as she always does with Sissy!

Keeping up with things

Here is a picture from the weekend. Emerson has to read the paper with us on Sunday mornings. It is how she keeps up with what is happening in the world around her.
On a side note- check out Denny... Speaking of keeping up on things- I have not done a real good job lately. I have pics from a few weekends ago when Mallory had her for the day. check them out.
