Forgot one

Forgot to post this one of her passed out, after she had already slept on the bus back to school, in the car. She may not look much like him, but if you know him well enough you will know exactly what I am talking about in the this picture that is 100% Denny.Breathing/sleeping with their mouth open. They both do it!

Much anticipated grand opening

Of course, the new Toys R'Us has opened and Emerson has been counting down the days. You know now that it is right at the interstate that we pass at least 4 times a day... We took her Saturday after the game. Why, on a Saturday, the weekend of it's Grand Opening, right after a football game...well we are still asking ourselves that question. They did have some very exciting characters though. Em is a HUGE Gabba Gabba fan.Have no idea what their names are...

Baton Rouge Zoo field trip

The Kindergartner's went on their first field trip of the year Friday. The Zoo, a picnic and then some free play was enough to sack most of them out for the bus ride back to school.

Our group was Em, Siya, Julian and Ethan.We have not been to the Baton Rouge Zoo since the new Tiger Exhibit was complete. So nice and the kids really got to see the tigers. Luckily they were awake and walking around.Emerson and her other buddy Ethan from her Pre-K class last year.

LSU vs. Kentucky

Could not have asked for a better game day! This was Emerson's first game of the season and we had a great time. We watched the band and the cheerleaders on the hill and as the they were performing Emerson said, "I have butterflies in my stomach. I am so excited." At least she gets that awesome "Saturday in Tiger Stadium" feeling. Just wait until she is cheering at one of those games. She must have said 10 times that she was going to be an LSU cheerleader one day.
