IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT IN TIGER STADIUM
And Emerson was there! Any Tiger fan knows there is nothing like a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium and this was Emerson's first game. Of course, we wondered how she would handle tailgating and all the madness of being on campus all day and then making it thru the game- Have no idea why we worried. SHE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Tailgating- she ate her way thru campus and made lots of new friends wherever we went. She loved the band and cheerleaders coming down the hill before the game.
She got so into the game! She watched ever play and taunted the players or officials just like the fans did. It only took her a minute to learn all the cheers and hand gestures and yelled so much I am surprised she is not hoarse this morning. She was a little disappointed they did not put HER up on the "big TV". She was mad to leave. As we walked back to the car she was talking about everything she saw and what she liked and how she dressed like the cheerleaders. We asked her if she was tired from the day and she informed us, "Cheerleaders get really tired and they may need to rest in the car on the way home, but they are not ready to go to bed yet." Tired- she was not! She talked the whole way home. She is already asking when she can go back!
Second Saturday at the Shaw Center
We just love the Second Saturday Kids Programs they offer at the Shaw Center each month and try to go as often as possible. We spent several hours there yesterday. She loves to get her face painted. Today she picked Hello Kitty. This is in the Music Together class where they were singing Twinkle Twinkle and pretending to be looking up at the stars.
Avery Day
Last Wednesday was Lola and Eli Day at our house. Lola spent several hours with us to give her family a much needed break and to give the girls some time together. I cooked most of the day in order to bring food over to Lauren and Christians house that evening. The girls had a great time playing and we went to their house later that evening to visit and see Baby Eli. He is adorable. We had to laugh at this picture because Lola and Emerson were running around like 2 little Indians making so much noise and this is how we found Eli when we looked in to check on him. He is so like- what is that noise and please make it stop! I told him to get used to it. Those 2 girls will be pushing him around, dressing him up and telling him what to do before we know it.
Tea Party
A Tea Party...outside...at dusk. She was entertaining her "friends" with tea and cake with different toppings. By "friends" I mean her real friends, but they are imaginary at our house at all hours of the day and night. It is not uncommon for at least 3 of her "imaginary friends" to be eating dinner with us, playing in her room or riding in the car with us. Needless to say, I am exhausted by the end of the day- taking care of 5 kids is hard!

Baton Rouge Zoo Field Trip
Bag Lady
Monday, on what she thought was a cool morning, she dressed her self to go outside and play. Seriously, this is how she told me she was going outside the play in the backyard. Oh OK. All of this get up over her nightgown of course. After maybe 8 minutes outside she was burning up and came back inside to take all of this off. FUNNY.

Family Outing
We loaded the kids up on this gorgeous Sunday and headed to City Park to let Emerson and Baker play. We have never taken Baker to the dog park which requires both of us going. He was not thrilled at first but ended up making a few pals and running around. Emerson had a fun time as well. We ended up spending most of our time sitting on the grass listening to these random free-spirited group of people playing some great music. Of course Emerson heard it and had to go check it out. These people were really good in engaging the kids and constantly handed them different instruments to play. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day and the music.
Happy Halloween 2009
Emerson had a great Halloween as an LSU cheerleader. She truly dressed the part even with fingernails and toenails drenched in purple and gold. She is already planning next Halloween and has informed me that I will be dressed as a Mermaid. UMMM. Okay. I will start working in that. And she will be either a nice witch or Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz or a princess.
