Some random stuff...

Daddy Daughter Trip

Denny and his friend, Scotty, took a Daddy Daughter trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas.  Scotty has 2 girls Maddie and Rylee. The girls were very excited to go to Great Wolf, but not excited about the 8 hour drive.  The guys said it went well but everyone was glad to get out of the car!

Great Wolf has so much to do.  Shows at night, crafts and activities and the indoor/outdoor activities.  Fun time had by all!

Don't Miss The Boat

Emerson and most of the Lower School were in a kids original production called, "Don't Miss The Boat" written and produced by a Lower School Faculty Member.  It was about Noah's Ark and all the kids were the animals on the boat.  Singing, dancing, full makeup and low budget costumes were right up Emerson's alley.  Emerson was a duck and Lila was a horse.

Tunica Hills

Denny and Emerson spent a day hiking Tunica Hills a few weekends ago.  It was her first time going to Tunica and she enjoyed it.  Underestimated the hike, but enjoyed it.  She said the waterfalls were worth the hike!

End of 3rd Grade and Moving Up

So scratch 3rd grade off the list.  We ended great with all A's and one B for the year and we are very proud of how hard she worked.  She received recognition at Moving Up for being on The Honor Roll, Being in the 50 point AR club and she received Most Creative. Here is her whole class (and Brandi) with their teacher, Mrs. Benton.  Mrs. Benton and her husband moved to Huntsville days after school ended, so we will miss not seeing her in the halls next year.

3rd grade was a challenge, but I know Emerson feels pretty confident in all she accomplished this year.  We are ready for all 4th grade has to offer and all the new experiences it will bring. Most of these kids have been in school together since PreK.  They are all starting to change and grow and I think it will be interesting to see how much they have changed at the end of the year next year.

Swamp Tour Field Trip

A few days before school was over, the 3rd Grade took a day long field trip to a Swamp in Laplace.  Denny went with Em on this one and they had a great time.  Swamp tour and lots of animal exploration while on the boat.  Emerson said it was "awesome". Pretty fun way to end the school year.

Honor Choir

Honor Choir had to sing at Senior Graduation in May, so this is the only picture I have of the whole group.  The Choir Teacher, Mrs. B. is leaving Dunham, so it was a little sad.
