Santa came to Baker too

Emerson helped Baker get all his stuff Santa left him out of his stocking.

Emerson said Buddy must have been a good boy to get stuff in his stocking from Santa.

Christmas Day

Emerson did very well on her bike for the first time. It will take some practice, but she is very excited about it.

Wonder when she will realize she has to look up in order to steer?

Christmas Morning

Santa was good to Emerson, however it was touch and go up until the last minutes he was loading his sleigh. She got a Princess Bike, the baby doll she asked for, a few books, 2 princess dresses, a nightgown, a My Little Pony Candyland game and some playdooh. She was thrilled with it all, but most excited about the yellow princess dress, the blue Cinderella nightgown and the baby doll. And of course she never disappoints with the crazy bed hair.

She has changed into her yellow dress and put on some jewelry she found in her stocking.
And now she is in the Cinderella nightgown BECAUSE IT MATCHED THE BABYDOLL!

This was so fun this year. She really got into it and had a hard time going to bed in anticipation for Santa. Exhaustion played a large part, but she also swears she heard reindeer.

Christmas Eve

Emerson received the Disney Princess Barbie Collection and she was thrilled. She got so many wonderful things like a Hello Kitty Digital Kids Camera, games and activities. The camera is by far the favorite gift. She thinks she is something else with that camera! Emerson and Camille

Emerson dressed at our house in front of our tree.

Cakes and Crafts for Jesus

Christmas Eve, the weather was so yucky, we spent it making crafts for family and our 2nd Annual Cakes for Jesus. She asked if she could make crafts and that we could take them to Kaka and Papa's for Christmas Eve to give to everyone. She ran out of glue sticks so we had to resort to real Elmer's glue which I think I should get a prize for allowing. It was a mess, but she had fun.
Emerson crushed the candy canes for the tops of the double chocolate cupcakes we were making. YUM!

She was really only interested in eating the chocolate chips and the candy canes to be real honest here. She has a mouth full of candy cane here.

Christmas Program at Jefferson Baptist

There are so very few pictures from the Program I hesitated to even post these, but here they are. I had camera issues this day- of course and the ones I did get are of her eyes glowing like a demon that Red Eye will not fix and I did not feel them good enough to take the time to Photoshop. So, after all of that, Emerson was a speaker- imagine it- and she was dressed as an Elf. He opening line was...wait for it..."Welcome to our Christmas Program". She rocked it and loved doing it.

It was very cute- too bad the camcorder didn't work either!

Shaw Breakfast with Santa

Shaw hold an annual Breakfast with Santa. They serve hotcakes, drinks and Santa. The kids have a great time and this year the Santa rocked. He was so kind and all the kids loved him! Emerson, Isabelle and Evie.
This is my favorite!
She is steady listing off all she wants.

Belle Floor puzzle from ReRe

Sheree gave Emerson her Christmas present this week and it was a fabulous Search and Find Belle Princess book and a floor puzzle. This child loves puzzles so much and is so thrilled to have gotten this puzzle. This is the first thing she pulls out in the morning after she wakes up and does it, all by herself, several times throughout the day. Emerson suggested I take a picture!

Thanks ReRe she loves it!

Dorothy Aquataria Lazarus

Dorothy Aquataria Lazarus passed away suddenly today and has gone to that big fishbowl in the sky. She was loved and will be missed.
Dorothy Aquataria Lazarus July 5, 2009- December 23, 2009.

Emerson took the news hard at first. We let her see Dorothy and Em was very sad and cried. She was the most concerned about where we were going to put her. Denny suggested that we bury her in the flowers outside and she laughed thru her tears and told him no. So, we asked her what she would like to do with her fish and her response was, " Well, just put her in the garbage Momma." "Can we go to Target or Walmart and pick out a new fish tomorrow?" SO, in the garbage Dorothy went and Emerson is fine and we will pick out a new fish after the new year at some point.

Saturday night with Sissy

Mallory kept Emerson for us Saturday evening while we went to the Saints game. They did a little Christmas shopping, errands, playing in the mall and ate dinner at McCalister's.Move over Elton John! She's a SUPERSTAR!

Sunday fun with Dad

Sunday Denny and Emerson spent several hours out of the house allowing me to lots of baking. They played at City Park, walked around the fountains and went to Mike the Tiger. They also visited the Tiger Book Store.

Apparently this was all Emerson's idea and asked to have her picture taken with the LSU gear and the face.

Christmas Party at Jefferson Baptist

I am lucky to have these photos as I left the house in such a rush I forgot my camera. Jennifer, Oliver's Mom, took these for me. It is easy to get both of our children in pictures as they are ALWAYS together. After lunch Santa had each child a book to unwrap. Chaos, but fun.

Mal and Emerson at the Mall

This picture cracks me up!It is a shame I can not remember when and why they were at the mall, but it had to be around Thanksgiving because Emerson has a Thanksgiving dress on. Mal took her to the Mall and the Christmas tree was just put up. Emerson obviously got into it.
